A classic tea light, with a hand crafted adorable bee who rests by the wick. These tealights take a bit more time to make as each bee is crafted separately from the tealight itself. After I pour all of the tea lights, I get started on making each individual bee figurine. Attaching the bee to the top of the tea light requires a delicate hand as to not break the barely-solid wax top, and precise timing when the wax is just between liquid and solid. This allows for the bee to become flush with the tea light and attach itself, for a permanent 'rest' until you're ready to light! This is a unique and original candle that makes for a charming and captivating addition to your space. A great gift for a nature, insect, or bee lover. Some say its too pretty to light, but I'll leave that up to you! Each tea light will provide at least 3 hours of burn time, which will vary more/less depending on the environment of the burn including drafts, temperature, etc.
You can opt for tea lights that come in a cup already, or to save on plastic and money, you can buy refills, which is the wax with the wick in there -- the candle without the cup. You can then pop these into any empty tealight cups that you have saved, or glass votives. Opt for this by clicking the Size drop down menu :)
Made with 100% beeswax.
Since I buy beeswax from a variety of different local beekeepers, there may be some variation in the color of the beeswax. Beeswax color varies depending on the type of pollen that the bees use, age of wax, climate, etc. Colors will range from gold/yellow to even a darker shade of orange. Beeswax is naturally aromatic from the honey and floral nectar that’s found in the honeycomb. — some beeswax smelling stronger than others - this is, again, contingent on what the bees are pollenating. I let nature decide the smell :) I hand-pour all of the candles myself! Since they are handmade, expect there to be some variation from candles shown in the pictures.
